Buckeye Forest Council

The Buckeye Forest Council (BFC) is a membership-based, grassroots organization dedicated to protecting Ohio’s native forests and their inhabitants. The BFC uses education, advocacy and organizing to address the need for forest preservation and low-impact recreation over logging and resource extraction.  We seek to instill in Ohioans a sense of personal connection to and responsibility for Ohio's native forests and to challenge the exploitation of land, wildlife and people.

Crown Point Ecology Center

The Mission of Crown Point is to demonstrate the practical applications of ecology. Guiding Principles are Community, Sustainability, Justice, and Spirituality.  Key program areas include education and sustainable agriculture. Programs are designed to reconnect individuals, families and groups to the basic processes of Earth while challenging society to live with simplicity and mindfulness.

Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District

To promote conservation of land and aquatic resources in a developed environment through stewardship initiatives, education programs, and technical assistance.

EcoCity Cleveland/GreenCityBlueLake

GreenCityBlueLake started as a magical phrase—a phrase that excited people's imaginations with the possibilities of creating green cities on a blue lake in Northeast Ohio. With the launch of this website, it's become a new kind of community workspace—an online presence where the people and organizations advancing sustainability in the region can tell their stories, learn from each other, and develop strategies to accelerate the progress. You are invited to participate!
This site was developed to serve the sustainability community of Northeast Ohio by EcoCity Cleveland, a nonprofit organization that has been at the center of sustainability activities and creative planning efforts in Northeast Ohio since 1992. EcoCity has facilitated many collaborative projects, and its websites and publications have received national recognition.

Friends of Wetlands
